I was at a Motivational seminar the other day. One of the speakers, who was also the MC, looked very uncomfortable when she spoke. Her topic was Motivational DNA. When she MC'ed and got the crowd cheering her body language was bright, energetic and her facial expression show true gratification. But when she spoke, even though her content was great, her body language and facial expression said something different. Then she declared what motivated her. Ah ha I spotted the conflict within her and why she looked so uncomfortable. She said she was internally motivated but it was obvious she was externally motivated.

Now to the advice which is quite obvious. To thine own self be true! It is ok to be whoever you are, even if it means you love applause. Make the best of it, be obvious and the trust will be there. Be fake, even if it is a little, and the trust will you lose.
