Not exactly a Marketing type but a plea from a friend.

Good Morning Mainers!

Please read, act, and shoot it out to your networks:

Face it, some of us have a love for chocolate. Lots of us think of Kevin Kingdon, the well known face behind Lindt Chocolates when we hear the word, "chocolate." He's known by many names, The Chocolate Man, The Man, Bunny Car guy and
the list is ever growing.

If you know Kevin, you know he's passionate about helping others succeed. He's a giver. He's in the community looking for ways to promote himself of course, but he always puts the needs of others first. That's why he is so well loved and respected. If you don't know Kevin, head over to Maine Mall, except on Tuesday's, and introduce yourself.

With that being said, I'm going to ask you to stop in his Maine Mall store by the end of this week and buy some chocolate. Why? The ENTIRE store is 50 - 70% off. Go grab some and share it with your employees, your co-workers, friends, family. Share some with people you meet, prospects, clients. Say, "Thank You" with some Lindt Chocolate.

Kevin's Maine Mall store is closing. Thankfully, Kevin will keep his job but he'll be in the Freeport location. And Kevin is asking for our support. Here's what he wrote:

"We are trying to get the biggest bonus possible for everyone will be losing their jobs. Right now, the best thing you could do for me is post it! Get it out there. The entire store is 50 to 70% off!"

The bonus from the store will be shared with those employees losing their jobs. Here's something you may not know about Kevin. He always works hard to get the bonuses in the store to share with other employees. He wants them to know he appreciates them and their work. He never makes it about himself, rather he always looks for ways to take care of others.

Let's help those who will be losing their jobs by cleaning out the store and supporting Kevin as he's done for so many of us.

Just do it. I double dog dare you!

In addition to this, could I tie in the horrible 70% tax increase on local chocolates? It would bring the tax up to 8.5%. Haven's Candies is trying to get help to veto the bill on the tax reform, and I think that everyone with a love for chocolate and local businesses should try their best to help protect it. I know I'll be stopping by Lindt today to do my part :) Thanks for the info about Kevin and Lindt, I wouldn't have known otherwise.
