Micro Expressions & Body Language = Superior Marketing

I have been asked what a Micro Expression Expert is since it appears on my twitter bio. In a nutshell I can read people, their expressions, body language and such. And yes sort of like Dr Lightman on the new TV show "Lie To Me!" only not that good. Of course he has a trick. He always has a video camera with him. Dr. Paul Ekman is the real expert that character is based on. I found out I was a natural a few years back but, like Ria Torres in the show I have had to learn what I was sensing, which I found out wasn't really a feel as much as picking up on suttle behaviors. What can it be used for you ask besides being a human lie detector? In marketing there are many uses. Since customer reaction is key to building a good marketing campaign it is great to know what your customer wants. You could just ask them but they are not always being honest with you. Sometimes they are too polite to be critical and sometimes to critical to give honest feedback. But your face and body have a harder time being dishonest. Also during presentations wouldn't it be great to capture an audience and maintain their attention. Being able to read your audience can really help with this. Lats question I'm asked is can anyone learn how to read someone. The answer is yes! Dr Ekman's website has some training tools, and there are several good books. One I would suggest is written by former FBI agent Joe Navarro called "What Every BODY is Saying" (available through this website). I'd start with this then when you want to go further do the  Micro Expression Training. Both give some really good insights and will help your overall marketing efforts tremendously. And of course I am always around to help you also.
